Merry Christmas from PEI Seniors Homes! At Christmas, and all year long, we celebrate having one of the greatest jobs in PEI – caring for and enriching the lives of our senior population. Just imagine the Christmas’s our residents have seen! And the many different ways they each have celebrated Christmas. A few themes remain the same: peace, love and goodwill to all men. While we all try to live by this throughout the year, it is good to have the yearly reminder while celebrating with friends and family the birth of Baby Jesus.
At this time of the year, our homes are extra busy with Christmas Concerts and visitors to our residents. Many friends and volunteers ensure our residents feel the joy of this season. We must recognize our Activity Department Staff, Church groups, Boy Scouts, Choirs, Musicians, and many other volunteers for their time, energy and love.
Along with those good feelings, our Staff Social Committee organized a fundraiser for less fortunate family. In this spirit, the Management Team declined their usual gift and donated the value to the fundraiser. A big thank you to our staff and management for their generosity. They show it every day and we especially want to recognize it this time of the year.
As a company, we like showing our appreciation to the PEI Seniors Homes staff by providing them with fresh turkeys for their Christmas Dinner. As we have grown and our staffs have become more multi-cultural, we have expanded our gift to be turkeys or gift cards (for those who don’t eat turkey). On our little Island, it has been a good lesson there are many ways to celebrate the spirit of Christmas in our multi-cultural country.
The Owners and Management of PEI Seniors Homes wish you a very Merry Christmas Season filled with peace, love and goodwill!
